Join the Fight against Breast Cancer
Millions of women are going without lifesaving breast and cervical cancer screenings and treatment because they are uninsured or simply can't afford it. Challenging economic conditions have forced state legislatures to reduce funding for critical programs that provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings to low-income and uninsured women in our state. At the same time, the economic downturn is straining family finances, more women are uninsured, and more are cutting back on preventive care and routine cancer screenings.
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action NetworkSM, the American Cancer Society’s nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy affiliate, is fighting back to protect and increase funding for state breast and cervical cancer screening programs because women need access to these services now not later.
